Military Schools in Maine for Troubled Teens

Making the decision to send your teen to a full time therapeutic program is sometimes the best thing you can do for him. It can be impossible to give your teen the round the clock care he may need in order to make long term changes for extreme behavioral issues. While many parents limit their search to military schools in Maine, that may not be the most effective option. We have found that more teens show faster and greater improvement when they are immersed in an outside environment. Some of the reasons for this are:

·         The chance to start over in completely new surroundings where old habits, negative peer groups and triggers are unable to impede the progress of positive changes.

·        Teens and their parents are able to get some healthy and regulated distance from each other while they concentrate on overcoming their personal challenges and improving their communication skills. Temporary separation can be helpful when laying better relationship foundation, but it is difficult to accomplish effectively without monitoring and a safe and secure location.

·         Rehabilitation programs provide respite for parents who are struggling with the emotional fall out of raising a troubled teen. While parents recover, their son is securely supported in an encouraging and therapeutic atmosphere.

These are only some of the reasons why parents throughout the country have bypassed a military school in Maine in favor of the program at Liahona Academy. Established in 2001, Liahona Academy is located in the heart of the scenic deserts of southern Utah. Liahona Academy has successfully helped thousands of troubled boys through a curriculum of therapy, academics and healthy outdoor activities. Each boy is coached and guided everyday by experienced staff in order to overcome his unique challenges and gain the skills he needs to become a happy and healthy individual.

Below is a short video, which breaks down how the program at Liahona Academy is more likely to help your son improve than those you might find in Maine. We recognize that this experience is intimidating and we want to help you get through it as comfortably as possible.

As you can see, Liahona Academy is extremely devoted to helping each troubled boy find the balance he needs in order to heal and improve. Please, give us a call today at (800) 675-8101 for a free consultation to determine if our program will benefit your son more than military schools in Maine. Since 2001, we have helped thousands of parents find the best option for their son and we can help you too.
